Customer Leaves Generous Tip For Restaurant Workers

Moments before a restaurant was due to close by order of the governor of Ohio, a patron dropped a huge tip.

The closure is part of a statewide attempt to contain the coronavirus. That means the staff at Coaches Bar and Grille in Columbus would see less income. A “loyal and amazing patron” knew this and dropped a $2,500 tip on a $30 order. A note from the customer on the receipt said the money was “to help lighten the losses during this required closing.”

The customer wants to remain anonymous and didn’t think it was a huge gesture. He’s a class act!
