AdoptAClassroom.org is a nonprofit that helps get money for school supplies to classrooms and families in need and they’re getting a big boost from Burlington Stores. The retailer is donating $1.53-million to them, which will help offset the money teachers spend out of their own pockets every year to make sure their students have the materials they need.
This is the fourth year Burlington has hosted in-store fundraising campaigns at their 735 stores, where shoppers are encouraged to donate to AdoptAClassroom. Over the years, Burlington has given more than $7-million to the nonprofit. This year’s donation will help AdoptAClassroom assist more than 35-hundred teachers and 88-thousand students across the country.
